Dancing like the falling leaves, you’re smooth and subtle with moment’s grace.
Eclipsed, at times, and wonderous, the failing light encapsulates, surrounds, and holds you like a child.
Weaving like the wind through trees, in living forests you hide your face.
Focus soft and hummed intent, the distance will now germinate, inspire and disambiguate your body.
Knowing courage always fails,
Instead, coat you with scales of steel
To scare myself back t’wards the dark
And ever wonder what you feel.
Grow far faster than me. I believe in love even when it’s hard to see. In truth, you scare the shit out of my inner child. You’re something wild, you’re free. The things I try to be.
Don’t back down, you’re alive. I’ll be your wind; be my kite. Settle. Let the moment run it’s course, forget, and know that this is fine. Loosen hands and fingers, hold to mine.
